Nicole Sikich, 14's Area Head Coach
- Nicole is joining the Dynamix staff this year! She comes to us from Dixon high school where she is currently the junior varsity head coach.
- Nicole graduated from Simpson University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. While at Simpson, she was a 2-year starter as both a setter and outside hitter and she lead the team to the semi-final round of play-offs two years in a row. Nicole was named to the 2nd Team All-Cal Pac her senior year.
- Prior to Simpson University, Nicole played two years for Sacramento City College. In 2006, she assisted the Panthers in taking 2nd in league and 3rd at the California Junior College State Championships. In 2007, the Panthers won the conference and took 4th at the California Junior College State Championships. Nicole was selected to be on the California All-State 1st team. At the culmanation of the career at Sacramento City College, Nicole held the two year dig record with 767 digs and a career best of 35 digs in a match.
- While attending Capital Christian High School, Nicole was a two sport athlete in volleyball and basketball. She was named MVP in 2003 for volleyball and was a 2004 all-league selection for volleyball as well.
- Nicole has worked at several volleyball camps from Captial Christian in high school, the Sac City Summer Volleyball Camp as well as camps and clinics at Simpson University.
- Nicole is first aid and CPR certified.
Megan Ussery, 16-1 Area Head Coach
- This will be Megan's fifth season coaching for Dynamix.
- Megan had coached at Pioneer High School for five seasons. In her first year coaching at Pioneer, Megan was the the head freshman coach. The following year, she was promoted to the junior varsity level.
- Prior to coaching at Pioneer, Megan spent two seasons coaching at Woodland High School, first as the freshman coach and then the following year as the junior varsity coach. Prior to her high school positions, Megan coached at Lee Junior High School one year as the 8th grade coach and the following as the freshmen coach.
- In 2002 and 2003, Megan coached with Club Woodland at the 14's and 16's level.
- Megan was a three sport athlete at Notre Dame High School in Salinas, playing volleyball, basketball and softball. She continued her volleyball career at Hartnell Community College where she spent two seasons in 1995 and 1996.
- Megan has a bachelor of science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in physical education from California State University, Sacramento. She has been teaching in Woodland since 2000. She taught physical education at Lee Middle School for 6 years before moving to Pioneer High School where she is currently teaching.
- Megan has her IMPACT certification as well as her CIF coaching certification along with her first aid and CPR certification.
Sara Marks, Director, 16 Purple Head Coach
- Sara is beginning her fifth year with Dynamix. Currently, she is the head coach at Woodland Polytechnic Academy. Last year, she was the varsity head coach at Woodland High school where her team was the TCC Co-Champions.
- Sara has been involved with coaching volleyball on many different levels. In club volleyball, Sara began with Club Woodland and head coached the 16's for one year and then head coached the 18's for the next 2 years. She also spent 4 years with the Davis Volleyball Club where she assisted the 18 power team her first year and then coached at 16 power her second year, followed by the 18 power for the next two years. In 2009, Sara was the assistant coach to the 18's team.
- During her years coaching public schools, she spent two years at Woodland High School as the varsity coach where she was the youngest varsity coach in the high school's history at the age of 21. She also spent 3 seasons assisting the Sacramento City College program in which the 2002 team placed 7th at the California State Junior College Championships. Sara was the co-varsity coach at Pioneer High School in 2004 where she was named co-head coach of the year for the Golden Empire League.
- Sara graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies with an emphasis in psychology. While at UCD, she opted not to play volleyball but to instead focus on track and field. She qualified for the Division II National Championships two years in a row for both the 400 meter hurdles and the 4x400 relay. She earned All-American status with a school record and a 5th place finish in the 400 meter hurdles.
- While attending Woodland High School, Sara was a three year varsity starter as a middle blocker. She was selected for the All-League team both her junior and senior years as well as the All-Metro Second Team her senior year. She was selected as the Youth Athlete of the Year in 1993 and also selected to play on the Optomist All-Star team. She played one season of volleyball at American River College where her team placed sixth at the Community College State Championships. Sara was named one of the Daily Democrat's top 100 female athletes of all time.
- Sara has a Master's degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Sport Coaching. She is first aid and CPR certified. She also has her CIF coaching certification.
Lynn Sandsor, 16 Purple's Assistant Coach
- This will be Lynn's third year with Dynamix and she will be assitant coaching our 16 purple team this season. Last year she was the 13 area head coach and the season prior she was the 14-2 area head coach.
- Lynn coached middle school volleyball at Holy Rosary for 6 year from 2003 to 2008.
- In the 2008-2009 club season, Lynn coached for the Davis Volleyball Club's 14-2 team.
- Lynn has worked at numerous camps and clinics at Pioneer High School, Woodland High School and Davis Volleyball Club.
- In college, Lynn played division 1 volleyball at the University of San Francisco as a setter/rightside hitter.
- While in high school, Lynn not only excelled in volleyball but in field hockey where she was named MVP and all-league and in badminton. She was co-athlee of the year her senior year.
- Lynn continues to play coed and reverse coed volleyball in both recreational and power leagues.
